The Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS) of the Foundation for research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), in the frame of the project ARCHERS, funded by Stavros Niarchos Foundation, is seeking to recruit one (1) post-doctoral researcher.
Job Description
The researcher is expected to perform research on the history and the actual state of the ship- building and ship- repairing industries and workshops in the Greater Pireaus area and to conduct interviews with employers, engineers, workers and their social environment.
Additional desirable qualifications
PhD in History (10 %)
Experience in research in archives (25 %)
Experience in oral history researches (25%)
Fluency in Modern Greek (25%)
Additional desirable qualifications
Ability and motivation to perform independent research (5%)
Previous post-doctoral research experience (15%)
Location: IMS-FORTH, Rethymno Crete GREECE
Start Date: 1st of October, 2017

Duration of appointment: 12 months (with possibility of extension according to the needs of the project).
Approx. stipend: 1.580 € total

Selection Announcement The result of the selection will be announced on the website of IMS-FORTH.
