Job Description The Stavros Niarchos Foundation – FORTH fellows are expected to perform high quality research within one of the research areas, in which FORTH-IACM excels both on the national and the international level (http://www.iacm.forth.gr/). The domains of interest in the present project are the preservation of cultural heritage and the science and innovation in the areas of environment, clean energy and health. Within IACM, preference will be given to candidates active in Applied and Computational Mathematics.

Eligibility criteria
 PhD degree in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Engineering and related fields
 Good knowledge of Greek and English language

Evaluation Criteria
 Publications in high quality journals
 Quality of the proposed post-doctoral project
 Ability and motivation to perform independent research
 According to international practice, the academic age (number of years after the Ph.D. degree award year) will be taken into consideration as a selection criterion; preference will be given to Post-Doctoral researchers with an academic age less or equal to 10 years.

Job Description The Post-doctoral researcher awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation – FORTH fellowship is expected to perform high-quality research on Computational Modeling of Nanostructured Materials with Applications in Energy. The research will focus on the development of novel molecular simulation methodologies for the study of complex polymeric based nanostructured molecular systems. The methods will be applied on various hybrid systems, such as heteroarm star polymers in solution and in melt, aiming in the understanding of the structural and the dynamical behavior and for the knowledgebased design of processes in such systems.

Eligibility criteria
• PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.

• Experience in molecular simulations of polymeric materials
