Mary Kefi


Mary Kefi is a Biology degree graduate (University of Crete, UoC, 2011-2015) majoring in “Biomolecular sciences and Biotechnology” with a Master’s degree in “Molecular Biology and Biomedicine” which runs jointly by the Departments of Biology and Medicine, UoC and the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB/FORTH) . From 2017 to present she is conducting her PhD at the Molecular Entomology Lab (UoC , IMBB/FORTH) and her research activities focus mainly on the major malaria vector Anopheles gambiae with emphasis in unraveling insecticide resistance mechanisms using molecular and genetic techniques, as well as in molecular diagnosis for improved vector control.  Her research work so far includes three published papers in international scientific journals.
